Princess Birthday Party Theme

What little girl doesn't dream of being a princess, even if just for one day? Make that dream a reality by creating her very own princess birthday party with themes including Disney Princesses, such as Cinderella and Snow White, Pink Princess, and more. Here are some tips and pointers to make it a royal event.

PRINCESS BIRTHDAY

Best for...

Girls aged three through eight just love the idea of being treated like royalty.

Party Planning

For peace of mind, begin planning your princess party 2 months in advance. This will allow you time to gather all the supplies that you need, including princess party tableware, decorations, gift wrap/boxes/bags, and favors. Planning ahead also gives your guests time to RSVP and make travel plans, if needed. Don't panic if you find yourself short on time; you can still plan a great party! Planning ahead simply reduces the risk of conflicts with guests' plans and may increase your party's attendance. To simplify the rest of the party planning process, check out our party planning timeline, and read the paragraphs below for information on selecting decorations, supplies, activities, and more for your child's princess party.

Princess Party Invitations

You can purchase personalized (with your child's name), pre-printed (with the party details), or blank princess party invitations.Whichever invitation option you choose, remember to include any special instructions on the invites along with the basic party details like date, time and location. This is particularly important if you're planning a costume party and want your guests to dress up like their favorite princess! There're are also many pre-made invitations such as Disney Princess party supplies.

Princess Party Supplies and Favors

If you plan to use princess tableware and kids party supplies, our suggested party supply list may be quite helpful. Please note that you may not need everything on the list; it is intended only as a guide. Along with the traditional party supplies like plates, cups, napkins, streamers, and balloons, you may be very interested in several types Pinata's & Scene Setters(4 Ft tall).

For goodie bags, think about princess party favors like stickers, tattoos, clutch purses, water globes, heart shaped picture frames, tiaras, jewel rings, bubble wands and lip gloss necklaces. Place some favors in some treat sacks or use treat boxes. A definate favor needed to make every kid smile is blowouts, stock up now!

Remember, your party room needs to be fit for a princess (or a room full of princesses). So here are some creative ways to turn an ordinary room into a royal castle!

Streamers and Balloons

  • Form a canopy using pink and lavender streamers. The streamers should cascade from a bow in the middle of the ceiling (or from a chandelier, if you have one) to the sides of the room.

  • A celebrationn banner reading Princess Party can be hung on the wall.
  • Check out the foil hanging decorations that come 3 per pack (different designs).

    Decorations for a Princess

  • Make a sash for the birthday girl out of pink fabric that says "Princess (child's name)".
  • Create a door curtain that the children can walk through out of pink and purple streamers or strips of glittered material.
  • Hang a princess-themed piņata in the party area as a decoration before the activity begins.
  • Sprinkle confetti on the food table. Use a simple centerpiece
  • Disney Princess sundae dishes which are dishwasher safe will be fun to eat ice cream in.

    Thank-you's

Again, make your child part of this experience by having him or her sign their name on each princess-shaped thank-you.
