Frog Hop Races
For Older Children: Before the party, mark a start and finish line at least 10 feet apart (use masking tape if playing inside). At the party, divide the children into two teams and have them line up along the start line. When you yell, "Go!" the children start hopping like frogs toward the finish line. The first child to reach the finish line is the winner.
For Younger Children: Designate an adult to lead the children along a froggy adventure course through the house or around the yard, hopping as they go. To add to the fun, have them sing a few songs as they hop along.
Leap Frog
Have the children form a line while crouching in a "frog position", with a space between each of them. The last person in the line is the leap frog. This child leaps over each of the children in front of him/her all the way up the line, while gently tapping on the backs of the other children as he/she goes. When the leap frog reaches the front of the line, he/she crouches down to become part of the line. Now someone else is last in line, and that child becomes the leap frog. Continue the process until all the children have had a turn to leap over the other guests.
